Help Curly hair gets hard from product I use can anyone help?

I have short thick curly hair and I wear a cloth hairband and I use the aussie aersol can flexable sprunch spray and i scrunch my hair up and it takes me along time to do my hair. After I use that stuff my hair gets really hard. I have to wash my hair everyday before I go to bed becuase my hair is so hard. Does anyone have any ideas what i can use insted and how to style my hair with out a product that will make my hair hard? Thanks so much.

yes you use any holding product its going to get hard

thats what holds it

if you dont want your hair hard then you cant use a holding product

you can try a putty or wax but it makes your hair greasy

I have curly hair too but I straighten it but when I dont I use Paul MItchell the conditioner I put it on my hair then scrunch it. It is a leave-in conditioner. It will keep the hold without getting too hard.

hair sprays and some gels do that. If you use a serum or a cream for you hair it will not get hard but it will give you a different look you may or may not like. I know sunsilk anti-poof cream (blue bottle) works really well with my hair. It gives me the curls i want and keeps it soft. the only thing is i wash my hair at night and put it in my hair when it is wet. In the morning i can not brush my hair or the curls will turn to frizz... good luck

It's your scrunch spray - it's basically the equivalent of stying your hair with hair spray! Try a good quality sculpting putty or foam. I like Pantene's Hydrating Curls line.

That's because any gel/hair spray will do that. Try using some mousse instead. The Aussie one that's a combonation of a mousse %26amp; conditioner is really good for that. The mousse helps hold it %26amp; the conditioner helps so it won't be so hard. Just make sure you don't use too much, or, it may weigh your hair down allot.
