1. The perm will work on your hair.

2. There are better styling products out there than just "gel".

3. There are many different types of perms for curls. Go and discuss it with your stylist.

A Curly perm should take, however you will always have to keep it mosturized so it would be somewhat like having a jerry curl even if it was a lot of loose curls. The mosturizer and gel keep the curl in there and are necessary for some reason... why I dont know I forgot. However, I am half puerto rican and half black and I have done a curly perm and it took fine but I always had to keep it soaked with gel so that was kind of the down fall... it looks real cute from a far but whenever people would touch it they would say "eeww, whats in your hair" lol

Yes I would think that ur hair would take the perm and it jusst depends what size of curls u want...If you want the tight curls or wavy..

well as an African American i feel that you shouldn't get a perm because for us a perm straightens the hair ad our hair is to thick for a curly perm so what you do is wash your hair at night towel dry it then put some gel and moisturizer in your hair and put your hair in 7 french braids to the back and take it out in the morning it will be damp put some moose on it and blow it dry
