Is short hair bad for curly hair??

I have sort of long hair down about 4 inches past my shoulders and i was going to keep it long but now im thinking about donating it to Locks of Love. The only problem is i have curly hair and i play sports-i dont know if short hair would be good. i would be cutting off my entire pony tail. my hair would be rather short.

that is really nice of you to doante your hair to locks or love, but short curly hair mite be hard to pull of u cud wait till it grows a little more and then cut it into a bob they had a whole section in OK! magazine, u cud cut it like this http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h... that wud look ok. and then when u r playing sports pull it into a small pony tail and clip whatever doesnt go back. if your hair is really curly u cud blow dry it and straighten it sometimes and then use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner so u dont damage or dry out your hair, like hello hydration shampoo and conditioner from herbal essences

it really does depend on if your hair is frizzy.

if it is, DONT CUT IT.

if its not frizzy, then you can go for a great layered look!

if it's gonna be really short and you're gonna be out and playing sports and sweating a lot, you're hair is gonna bet frizzy and ur gonna look like u have a lion's mane.. lol

you could try to but some different clips on it . try doing styles like vanessa hudgens . she cut her hair short as well and she curls em` too . but if your to nervous about it , just cut it up to your neck . not too short because then you might as well freak out[;

I would stick with the long hair for now and let it get long enough to cut it to your shoulders you can get short cuts for curly hair but the only ones that look good to me are the boy cuts

if its only 4 inches past your shoulder then let it grow more for locks of love. i am workingon growing my hair for locks of love and i dont i want my hair to be super short when i get it cut so i am just letting ti grow really long..it takes a year are two but them you feel so much better knowing you as well as someon eles can be happy with your hair! :)
