Layers are good. Another suggestion for naturally curly hair---never shampoo it. My hair is VERY curly. I always had bad frizz no matter what conditioner I used. About 5 years ago I read an article in the Post Dispatch Everyday section. It said do not shampoo curly hair it makes it too dry for any conditioner to work. So I have not shampooed my hair for 5 years. I only condition it. It is sooooo soft and the curls are light and springy. I constantly get compliments and people wanting to know how I get it to look this way.

i dont think it would have the same affect as straight hair would it? Might not be worth the hassle unless you straighten it too?

Does curly hair look good in layers?

nope.layers for curly hair will only make it look more bulky unless u have a small face.

Does curly hair look good in layers?

nope!!!!!!! it luks gud on straight hair.....

i think its not suitable....... it better if a curly hair remains straight...

Yes indeed dear, curly hair when not layered tends to get that stupid triangle shape. Get a nice cut and it will loosen up your curls and bring out your natural highlights.

NO!!!!! I have gotten my hair layered and I have curly hair. It is hard to manage and it looks bad. It looks best on straight hair

Curly hair is best.

Curly hair is supposed to look best when layers are cut into it. It will help the curls form better. Just make sure and get long layers and not short ones.

Does curly hair look good in layers?

no i dnt think it would but u could be different from everyone else try being unique, start somethingof your own..

I have curly hair also...and I've been layering my hair for EVER. It creates depth, and it also helps NOT make the hair look like a huge triangle. The problem is, you have to get long layers....short layers will bunch around the face, and not be a good situation. Layers look great because it gives it an all around curly look instead of the "curls at the bottom" look.

My recommendation is to do it. Hair grows if you end up not liking it (that's the great part). I found that layers work better if the hair is longer.

It takes time to figure out curly hair. I'm still trying to understand the best way to style my hair. If you ever have a good hair day, write down how you did it!! And good luck.

NO NO NO NO NO!! Sorry to shout but I got it done and it just looks dread full. the layers stick out oddly and some tend to curl or poof up more then others. if you want to layer your hair and its curly, don't do it unless your first layer starts closer to your shoulders. the more hair the more weight and the less curly and poofy and odd. i got it thinned out a bit and got a cut and it looked cute.. but that took forever to get done after those dreadful layers. i remember for MONTHS after when i grew tired of it and put my hair in pigtails, the top layer was so short i had a rim of hair sticking out oddly.. it just doesn't work.. so yea. there's my opinion!

I don't think it would make any difference. My mum had curls and she layered it, and she still looked the same before and after she trimmed her hair..better so if not layered.

sounds llike you have my hair. Do you like your curls or do you usually try to straighten it? If you like the curls, then do a long layer hair cut, cutting the top no shorter than 6" to start, and bring everything up to that point.(your hairstylist will know what I'm talking about) If you don't like the curls, then no, don't get layers (atleast not that short) the weight pulls it down making it less curly.
