Gel for Naturally Very Curly Hair?

Hi I have naturally curly hair that is type 3B to 3C hair (It's not black hair though) and I really need a gel that gives your hair the "wet look" because my hair gets dried out soo fast when I leave it down. It's weird because if I take a shower, shampoo %26amp; condition it (I know you're not supposed to shampoo it everyday but I need to use this special kind everytime I wash it because my hair is thinning very badly in the back) and put all the syling products that I use and put my hair right up it never gets dried out and stays wet for like a day. But if I do the same thing but instead wear it down it gets dried out, poofy, and frizzy if I wear it down for like 30 minutes. I'm thinking of trying Garnier Fructis products like the Hard Curl Gel and Full Control Hairspray for this (its also very cheap so I thought I'd at least try it). So I was just wondering if Garnier Fructis products are good for very curly hair and if there's any other products that you could recommend thanks muchas

i use the dove brand gel on my curly hair and it keeps that wet look without being too stiff.....check it out
