Getting hair curly without the frizz?

ok i have naturally curly hair but i have straightened it everyday for about a year now and i think that the curls have lost their bounce....it is stil curly but just more frizz then defined curls...what can i get to put in it to make it less frizzy and the curls more curly and defined? also would it be a bad idea to get maybe a wavy perm to help? not really curly perm but just a relaxed wave to help it regain its natural wave?

it's not a good idea to use any perm if your already having problems with frizz. I have naturally curly hair and, when I don't straighten it, to get the best looking curls I:

1. brush through it right out of the shower before towel drying and apply gel.

2. scrunch with towel.

3. blow dry using a difuser

4. when hair is completely dry I use a tiny curling iron on random curls to enhance them.

the curling iron really works well when you want the curls to frame your face.

good luck!!!

Use a straightening serum... the silicone in it will seal the cuticle on the hair shaft..

use gel and scrunch!

and if you like the wet look use hair spray...

perms are super bad for your hair

It sounds like you need to rejuvenate your hair then work on getting it back to curly. I would try weekly treatments of V05 hot oil, and/or.. Aussie 3 minute miracle. I would try to stay away from the perm. With all the damage from straightening it.. it's best to let it get back to healthy before you do anything with it. I would say a month of treatment and then see how you think it looks curly. :)
