Does hair change from straight to curly very often?

I had long straightish hair both my parents had curly hair, when I cut my hair to just above the shoulders it turned curly and now that is how it is for me. Does hair change from straight to curly or vice versa very often??

Im thinking casue you cut it.. you lifted weight off. So your hair is lighter.. when it gets longer and you add mroe weight it will get straigh again

Thats what happened to me. Both my parents have fairly straight hair. Mine was straight when I was little, but when I got it cut shortish, around the middle of neck, when I was in year 4 it turned curly. Now every time I get it cut it stays curly. I don't think curly hair can go straight naturally though.

The same thing happened to me. When I was young it was straight with a lot of body. Then when I cut my hair and permed it, it stayed that way. From junior high on it looked like I always curled my hair with a curling iron. (ringlets) I always thought something happened from perming my hair. Now that I look back I think it was because I went through puberty. Hormones can change your hair from straight to curly and back. When I got pregnant with my 1st my hair turned back straight. Then with my 2nd my hair turned wavy and frizzy. Sometimes I think I should have another child to get rid of the frizz.

When my first son was born he had straight hair when he was about 3 mos it turned wavy like my hair is .My youngest son was born with curly and it turned very very curly what they call nappy. I keep his hair cut lol
