Products to maintain curly hair?

I have really curly hair. And so does my sister. We both want to know this product that makes curly hair better. Its a product for ethnic hair. Like black people with curly hair, melattos and hispanics. I dont know what it was called. And I need your help. I want to find it before school starts. Because me and my sister NEVER where our hair down when its curly because we dont like it. It only looks really good in a ponytail and we DONT want to do that again.
