Curly hair?? help!?

I have curly hair and had this problem before. What my stylist did was put an extra layer in my hair, so it took out the 'triangle' look and make my hair more balanced and round.

the best thing to do is go to a salon and ask them, or try a flat iron...

my friend is bi-racial, and has really curly hair and has to get a relaxer to calm her curls down....

you could try using serum on it : ) otherwise you could just straighten it using some ceramic straighteners. my hair is like this and i found that straightening it is the only option. good luck

Curly hair?? help!?

well, i have curly hair too, and when i was little i always had it in a pony tail...no one knew me w/ out one!

and later id start straightening my hair everyday.

which i still do occasionally and b/c my hair is supposed to be curly and thick it just looks better and fuller than othher girls owho try to straighten their hair.

now i just leave it alone, let it curl after i brush it the way i want it to dry and walk out the door (in public!)

after a while of not seeing my hair naturally i learned to love it!

if you just brush it after a showwer...let it dry..then brush it gently so that u dont separate...ull relize ur hair is more managable than u tought!

Go have a chat with a good hairdresser, I wonder if layering will help as it sure would thin out the bulk and yes maybe a hair straightener iron if you have the time

perm ur hair, put oil [i use TLC],

and comb it, then straighten it,

and style it however u want to.

Um well u need to try and straigten it and maybe even go to a hair salon and let them try to do something with it and tell them about like the same thing you told us and ask them if they have any hair products or a really good straigtener to straighten it for ya. and then yea u just need a really good straightener to make it lay flater so it will not be poofy! :) and that will solve your problem!!!! :) 閳?br>Curly hair?? help!?

Whatever you do...DONT get a relaxer. Then you'll be stuck growing it out..like I am right now. You can try layers to give you less volume. You can flat iron it once and a while (but not everyday or else you'll permanatly alter your curls) you can blow it out once in a while as well. You can pull it up in a high ponytail and then take a curling iron and curl the ponytail to make the natural curl come out and then add a ribbon for a preppy style. Or you can put your hair in side ponytail (which I love for people with curly hair) and attach a big flowers and then loosen two pieces of hair by your forehead and straighten them. You can wear heabands, you can do french braids, the possibilites are endless! I hope that helps! :)

I lovingly call this look 'triangle head' when I see it on the streets. The best way to fix it (and this isn't a cure all, but it certainly helps) is to go to a good, reputable salon (yes, this probably means dishing out more for a hairstyle then you want) and explaining your problem to the stylist. Even just get a consultation from a senior stylist at the salon and then let a junior stylist do the dirty work (as this will most likely save you $$). Ask to get layers around your face to thin out the pyramid on top of your head, and use a good, vitamin enriched shampoo and conditioner to tame frizz. Dish out the extra $$ for one hair cut, get an actual shape to your style and then go for your maintenance cuts at a less expensive salon. Try anti-frizz serum and opt for lightweight hair products. If your using mousse don't get to carried away with it- all though it's lightweight some feel they need to compensate by using half the bottle in one go- this leads to product build up and will drag your hair down even more.

Also, try to volumize the top of your hair when styling to even out the shape of it.
