Curly hair bangs?

i have curly hair but never wear it curly.

i straighten it every day. i'm looking to get bangs... but i know that summer's coming up and im a little worried about how it will look at the beach and stuff when my hair is wet and dries curly..

sooo.. anyone have any suggestions as to what kind of bangs i can/should get??

[i have hair to the middle of my back when straight, about 2-3 inches past shoulders when curly]

I think you should just go for it if it's what you want. I myself have curly hair that I straighten very often, and I have had side-swept bangs that just about cover my eye when straightened for the past year or so. Side-swept bangs work well with curly or straight hair. Also, if they truly bug you when they curl, keep a small hairclip handy to clip them back and do a little poof thing. It looks really cute when hair is straight and curly, so if you go in the water with the clip and let your hair dry with it still in, the style will remain the same. Not only that, but consequently, your bangs will dry straight, and if you want to wear them down, just unclip it.

When I was younger, I had bangs that reached my eyebrows and very curly hair, and they worked fine. I'm really into swimming, soccer, and tennis, and my bangs have never bothered me.

Bangs are fun, and if you get annoyed with them, a simple hair clip does wonders. =D Go for it, hon!

You'll have to go long for them to not look ridiculous when they curl up, but then if you go too long, they won't work straight. It's probably a bad idea. If you must go to a stylist tha specializes in curly hair. Mine, who does, has always refused to give me bangs, but I always wear mine curly. Lifes too short for all that drying and flat ironing.

I think that you should get longer bangs, parted off to the side a little angled. It looks good curly or strait!

im not a big fan of bangs but it sounds as if u need to keep them long so you wont look like a poodle when ur hair dries in public

I have curly hair too, and I have started wearing it to school curly. I also have bangs, and when I just wear my hair down it looks fine. When I pull my hair back and my curly bangs hang down it looks really bad!!

It depends how curly your hair is. One way to be safe is to keep them longer like to the middle of the nose when wet. When they dry they shrink. So see a professional and get good advise. Summer humidity is also a negative when curly hair can get fuzzy. I would go with a long angled bang, swept to the side. That is good for curly or straight.
