Dry curly hair - need a strong moisturizer or wet look?

I am male and I have long curly hair (and proud of it) and my hair are just very dry. I tried some stuff 楹揻or dry hair楹?but nothing helps. I even tried hot olive oil, put it on for 30 minutes and then showered but then next morning I woke up with big dry hair.

I look soooo good with wet curls.

I am now using walnut oil but then my hair are oily and I dont want that. I dont want to use products that makes my hair oily or greasy on touch.

I want a good moisturizer!!!! or something for wet look!!!!

but then I dont want oily or greasy hair. just wet look and they can be a little bit wet on touch. and it must last through whole day.

any ideas what could I use, which product?

by the way I live in Slovenia (Europe) so maybe we have a little bit different products.

another thing to try is aloe vera gel...it says right in the back of the bottle that it can be used in the hair, and it makes really soft curls. I hope you try it, i think you will love it.

I don't know if you have any products for African hair in your country, but they are the best for taming dry curls. As their hair is naturally so curly and dry the products have the best formulations than ones for white peoples' hair. If you can't find anything, go to a good salon with a hair stylist who has a lot of experience, and ask them to select something for you.

Any salon brands are definitely the way to go with your hair.

Don't use oil. Yuck.

Try Tigi's Bed Head Ego Boost - it's a leave-in conditioner and it also gives you that wet look. And it smells good and is awesome.

Although it's in a pink bottle.

But it's still great!

Also use a moisturising shampoo and conditioner to help rehydrate your hair.

My girlfriend has the exact same problem. She has finally resorted to using conditioner in her hair and not washing it out. I hope you get some good answers cause she has tried all kinds of things with no luck.

to be honest with you, this may sound kinda gross but a GREAT mositurizer for your hair is mayonnaise. apply it from your roots down to the tip of your hair and live it in for about 30 minutes and then rinse it out. do not wash it out with shampoo or anything, just rinse it out with warm water.

1. Have you tried looking at the website naturallycurly.com? There are LOTS of tips for curly hair there.

2. Have you tried hair gels and serums? Here in the US we have a brand of products called "Frizz-Ease" by John Frieda which cater to curly hair making it look moisturized and "wet" without greasy. It's main product is a clear serum that coats the hair and defines your curls. The products are available in Europe (UK, France, Hollland) so maybe in Slovenia too. Here's the site: http://www.johnfrieda.co.uk/products/?ty...

3. Sunsilk also makes good "lotions" that moisturize and define curly hair - especially their 24/7 creams. There products ma be available internationally. Here's the site: http://www.gethairapy.com/products/

4. If these products are not available, you can also try creating your own mixtures that cater to your particular hair needs. Hair gel made with glycerin gives great moisture. I've mixed hair gel, lotion and a little oil together to make a mixture that gives moisture, curl definition, and shine.

Really, check out naturallycurly.com for some great ideas! http://www.naturallycurly.com

keep using the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner...and also any type of defining hair serum should work... try using mayonaise on your hair once a week... just put it in, leave it for 30 - 45 minutes, then rinse it out with warm water only.

I have heasd of mayonnaise masks working, eggs also. I use Aloe Vera in my hair, and it's really healthy. If you use a lot, it doesn't really get greasy.

If you know of this product its called John Freida s secret weapon. It is really good for dry hair. Also the main thing you need for dry hair is conditioner so I would get some type of leave in conditioner cream or something like that. For that wet look or beach hair I have found that hair gel applied to wet wavy hair when dry makes it look wet but also keeps frizz down to a certain extent.
