Curly hair!!!??

OK.. so i just put in a leave-in conditioner in my hair after washing it. It's like a Redkin conditioner.

I have pretty, managable curls but I want them to be soft and bouncy. What do I do next?? Put tresemme bouncy gel in it? (thats one of the gels I have ) orr...let it dry..or something else?

Thankx soo much for all your suggestions!! %26lt;3

Curly hair!!!??

I also have curly hair and curls run in my family. The most difficult part of having curly hair is not knowing a proper regimen to follow. Start with a cleansing shampoo and only use once every other, or every three days. Use a moisturizing conditioner every day, and twice a week use a protein deep conditioner. No matter what hair-type you have, you should have an even balance between protein and moisture conditioners. Protein conditioners can be left in for longer periods of time to work their magic (I sleep with mine in). Try to stay away from pantene pro-v because they use waxes that coat the hair and do nothing but build up on the shaft and break the hair. Last, COMB in the shower (a brush will break your hair), while conditioner is in the hair. To keep curls soft and bouncy, use tresemme curl milk, mixed in your palm with about a quarter-size worth of gel, and apply to your hair while wet. Be sure not to towel dry the hair or comb it because you will loose your curls. In problem areas lightly scrunch curls as they are near-dry and apply light amounts of hairspray on straighter pieces. Typically the front hairs are usually the trouble spots. Too much gel or hairspray will make your hair crunchy so use an affordable curl milk that you can find at your local grocery store.

Try using a creme on your hair while it's wet. Try Sunsilk 24/7 Creme (it's in a pink bottle)

i use herbal essences curl scrunching gel. it works really well on my hair,it's only 3 dollars, and my hair is soft, and without frizz.

Curly hair!!!??

When i wash my hair although its short... after i have rinced the conditioner out of my hair i can feel a real difference in it being soft if you also feel this perhaps you should try letting it dry and if that does not work then go to your next point in applying the boucy gel

Curly hair!!!??

You should leave the conitioner on for 1-3 mins and then rinse it out with cool water, then get out of the shower, dont use red hot water, it dries out your hair, then maybe get a light weight mousse or gel and put a little in your hair and let most of it air dry!

Curly hair!!!??

Hey,

i have curly hair and it works better if you wash your hair with conditioner, and when u wash, don't wash it all out... i like biolage, its expensive but it really conditions my dry, frizzy hair. after u wring or towel dry, add some alcohol-free hair gel, that contains pvp/va in the ingredients... and let air dry.

i buy this pink hair gel, its kinda watery and doesnt hold much (thats what i want tho).

If you shampoo dont buy any that contains sodium/ammonium lauryl sulfate in ingredients.. this is the chemical that produces the foam and soapy suds in the shampoo. its a detergent and it will dry your hair out

  1. Let me assure you, Pantene products do not contain wax. I work for Pantene and also use Pantene shampoo and conditioner. This has been a long standing rumor started years ago in the professional salon industry. Pantene's ingredients and Pro-V formulas have conditioning ingredients to provide healthy hair with shine, strength, and protection from elements that damage hair. Hope this helps. Thx, Dee.
