Curly hair products for 11 year old boy?

My son has curly hair and wants to let it grow. It is NOT really curly but much more than a wave. I need advice on hair products I should get for him to keep the curl and make it look decent or I will have it cut off. Thanks!

Any product intended to reduce frizz and define curls/waves would be fine -- and with an eleven year old, it should be something very easy to do.

Just a very small amount in the palm, rub it together to emulsify and run through hair quickly.
