Male curly hair question?

I am a guy with very curly hair. I really like my hair except when it is long because it just turns into a fro and I hate that. What can I do to keep my hair long and keep it curly, without it puffing up?

Male curly hair question?

I'm not real sure. You might try some sort of gel.

Male curly hair question?

I'll start by saying "back when I had hair" a good quality moose usually works well. Gel tends to be to heavy makes it hard, wet looking, or even kinda gooey. Find a good stylist, ask around women usually know someone who really knows their products and or technique there is a way to thin it underneath so it doesn't look like so much hair. Beware, don't take the hair advice from who you ask ,only the stylist advice. If you are not accustom to going to a salon then be prepared to drop close to $50 your first visit but after that it will be less cause all you need then is a trim. Enjoy it while you can for some guys it doesn't last forever.

Alright, I did this in the past... You have two things working against you, that is the volume of curls can't find their way down, secondly since the hair is moving in a "curl", it takes a long time to appear long.

It takes about 2 years or more to grow long curly hair. It's an ordeal, got to deal with a lot of bad hairdays, also you got to clean it constantly as curly hair dreadlocks easily, it splits and frizzes and all sorts of things (avoid combs!).. But trust me, afros have their limits, it'll fall under its own weight eventually. When you finally reach your goal, you'll have like 80's rocker hair that's way huge, so at that point get it strategically thinned out by a good hair dresser, unless you like it that way.

So just keep not cutting your hair, basically. got to be tough and wear that fro for a while.
