The worst thing you could do to our hair is get a blow drier near it! Wash your hair with a good moisturizing shampoo like Redkens Smooth Down Shampoo. comb through your conditioner in the shower before you rinse(you'll use a lot less conditioner and it is easier to get any knots out of your hair) Towel dry your hair and use a gel or smoothing balm like Ringlet by Redken, comb it through your hair and then scrunch and move your hair to how you want it to dry. Then DO NOT touch your hair until it is completely dry. if you want to fluff it a little you can scrunch it up. Whatever you do, do not brush your hair!

Use conditioning, styling hair gel. Apply when wet. comb through with a wide-tooth comb into the shape you want your hairdo to have, and then scrunch it with your fingers, to accent the beautiful natural curl you have. THEN let it air dry, and it will be smooth and beautiful.

My daughter has curly hair. She got it from me. Let me give you a suggestion. Try using a shampoo and conditioner made to help straighten curly hair like Sun Silk to straighten curly hair (It's in a purplish bottle). Also, use their Sun Silk cream after you wash and condition/towel dry it. Then you can use your blow dryer to dry your hair while brushing it straight down. It'll take out alot of the curls and your hair will still be soft. Also, if your hair looks fried after straightening it, your straightener may be too hot. Make sure you have a good quality straightener, my daughter says it definately pays off. They cost about 40-60 dollars, but do a better job than the cheaper ones. You can still have beautiful hair! Good Luck!
